The u3a Let’s Talk Team was originally formed in the summer of 2021 at the instigation of Liz Thackray, the Chair of the Third Age Trust at that time, to assist individual u3a organisations to gain the knowledge, skills and information about equipment that may be needed to conduct hybrid meetings.

Hybrid Meetings became useful as the UK came out of a series of Covid Lockdown restrictions and not all members were initially keen to meet in person. The popularity of Zoom was well established at that time, but not all u3as had people with the relevant technical knowledge
